The Washington, D.C., office of global law firm K&L Gates LLP has added Elias B. Hinckley as a partner in the energy practice. He joins from Sullivan & Worcester LLP, where he led the firm’s energy group, and is accompanied in his move by counsel James R. Wrathall.

Hinckley advises clients on energy financing and transaction structures, including tax equity financing and project finance, with a focus on clean energy. He represents companies across industries such as public utilities, banking, private equity, real estate, engineering, construction, manufacturing and alternative energy.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Elias and Jim to our office,” says David T. Case, administrative partner of K&L Gates’ Washington, D.C., office. “Their focus on helping clients navigate a changing energy, tax and finance landscape will enhance our energy offerings in Washington and across our platform.”

K&L Gates comprises approximately 2,000 lawyers globally. The firm represents multinational corporations, growth and middle-market companies, capital markets participants, and entrepreneurs.
