Lauby Cited For Work In Grid Reliability

Mark Lauby, vice president and director of reliability assessment and performance analysis at the North American Electric Reliability Corp. (NERC), was named a fellow by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

According to IEEE, Lauby received the honor for leadership in the development and application of techniques for bulk power system reliability.

Lauby began his career in the electric industry at the Mid-Continent Area Power Pool in Minnesota in 1979. Before joining NERC in 2007, he held numerous senior positions at the Electric Power Research Institute, including director of power delivery and markets and managing director for Asia.
