Woodstock, Minn.-based Juhl Wind Inc. has entered into a development agreement to design and build a 2 MW wind system that is planned to be sited near Altura, Minn. The project will cost approximately $3.6 million and is expected to be completed by the end of the second quarter of 2009.
‘This project represents a rapidly growing area of our business where we develop wind systems for local communities and institutions like hospitals, colleges and universities,’ says Dan Juhl, CEO of Juhl Wind. ‘These customers recognize that we have the knowledge and capabilities to get these smaller projects built quickly and put into service.’
According to the company, its project financing model allows for more proficient execution of the development and completion of each property, which translates into revenue growth for 2009.
