Juhl Wind Inc., a community wind developer based Woodstock, Minn., has entered into a feasibility study agreement with a group of local owners to study and develop an estimated 6 MW community wind farm in Wilkin County, Minn.
The Sunny Side Wind Project includes seven local farmer owner/partners and is located approximately six miles southeast of Breckenridge, Minn.
‘We are finding that local owners are really beginning to understand the significant economic benefits provided by community wind, and as a result, we are garnering more and more interest on an ongoing basis,’ says Dan Juhl, CEO of Juhl Wind. We are in the process of initiating a handful of other projects similar to Sunny Side. Given our experience with small wind farms, we are in an excellent position to move these projects through the development process relatively quickly.’
