Intertek says it has been accredited by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) to perform large and small wind turbine certifications for the Canadian market to the CAN/CSA C61400 series of standards for design, safety and performance.
The new SCC accreditation adds to Intertek's existing U.S., Canadian and European accreditations for electrical safety and performance of large and small wind turbines and components. According to Intertek, the new accreditation provides manufacturers increased options for safety and performance requirements without causing interruption in business or a slowdown in turbine certification.
