0

Interstate Power and Light has issued a request for proposals (RFP) seeking up to 200 MW of wind energy, located in Iowa. The utility is seeking wind power to be sourced within the footprint of the Midcontinent Independent System Operator.

According to Alliant Energy, which is managing the RFP for Interstate, the RFP is seeking proposals for an initial contract term of 10 years – although it will consider proposals with a longer duration. Additionally, the proposal may consist of one or more wind resources.

Alliant prefers proposals that commence delivery on or about Jan. 1, 2017.

Interested parties should review the RFP, including the mutual non-disclosure agreement (NDA). Alliant says prospective bidders will need to complete an electronically submitted NDA to brentkitchen@alliantenergy.com by May 6.

Proposals are due May 20. For more details on the RFP, click here.
