HDR, an architectural, engineering and consulting firm based in Omaha, Neb., has acquired Portland, Maine-based Devine Tarbell & Associates Inc. (DTA), a firm that provides renewable energy consulting services to utility, industry and government clients. Financial terms were not disclosed. DTA will now conduct business as HDR | DTA.
DTA, an employee-owned firm, has nine offices in North America and employs 260 people.
DTA ‘will be able to leverage HDR's broader, complementary resources, allowing us to support our clients' entire generation portfolios,’ said John Devine, DTA President. ‘Together with HDR's power delivery capabilities, our clients will benefit from the full spectrum of renewable energy solutions.’
Under the new corporate structure, Devine, along with principals John Tarbell, Rick Miller, James Lynch and Ed Luttrell, will be senior vice presidents leading this national practice.
