A ground-breaking ceremony for Horizon Wind Energy's Meadow Lake Wind Farm in White County, Ind., is planned for April 17.
Phase I of Meadow Lake Wind Farm has an initial proposed installed capacity of 200 MW. Development is progressing for other phases of the project, according to the company. These phases could potentially have an installed capacity of up to an additional 800 MW.
Horizon Wind Energy has installed meteorological towers and continues to monitor the wind characteristics in White and Benton counties. The first phase of the Meadow Lake Wind Farm consists of 121 1.65 MW Vestas V82 wind turbines.
