In celebration of Earth Week 2014, Edina, Minn.-based Geronimo Energy partnered with Neighborhood Forest to donate more than 1,200 trees to schools across the U.S.

Geronimo – a developer of wind and solar projects primarily in the Midwest – kicked off its school program with deliveries in West Saint Paul and Paynesville, Minn., and the communities of Walnut and Ohio, Illinois.

At each school, Geronimo says it spoke about the value of renewable energy and the importance of conserving energy.
