Renewable energy retailer Green Mountain Energy Co. has announced that the George W. Bush Presidential Center, which will house the George W. Bush Institute and the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum, has purchased 100% wind energy to power its campus.

Green Mountain Energy will provide over 4.7 GWh of wind renewable energy certificates (RECs) to cover the center's projected electricity consumption for two years.

The wind RECs will help the center, which is scheduled to open next spring, become LEED Platinum certified.
