GE To Supply Turbines For Wind Capital Group’s Lost Creek Project In Missouri

GE has announced that it is supplying and servicing 100 of its 1.5 MW wind turbines for Wind Capital Group's Lost Creek Wind Project in DeKalb County, Mo. The wind turbines will be delivered this year and in 2010. GE will provide operations and maintenance services for the project for five years.

The Lost Creek project supports Missouri's Clean Air Initiative, which calls for 15% of the state's power to be generated from renewable resources by 2021. When it enters commercial service in spring 2010, the project is expected to generate 150 MW of electricity.

Power generated at Lost Creek will be sold under a 20-year power purchase agreement to Associated Electric Cooperative.
