Garrad Hassan America Inc. (GHA), a San Diego-headquartered provider of wind turbine testing and certification services, has made several changes to its management team – Benjamin Bell has been named president and chief executive officer, Emil Moroz has been promoted to chief engineer and Brent Reardon has joined the firm as principal engineer.
Bell brings to the position over 25 years of experience in the wind-powered electric generation business. According to the company, he will open an East Coast office of GHA in 2007.
In his new role, Moroz will continue to be responsible for turbine technology and suitability analysis for GHA. He has been with the company since May of 2004. Prior to joining the firm, he spent six years with Zond/Enron/GE Wind in various technical roles.
Reardon, who has 20 years of experience in the wind industry, will be joining Moroz in the turbines department of GHA's engineering group. He was most recently employed at FPL Energy for the last eight years as subject matter expert for gearboxes and drive train components.
In addition, Patrick Caramante will remain vice president with the additional responsibilities of further developing the commercial and business aspects of the company.
