Gamesa, through its Indian subsidiary, has signed a new 30 MW contract with Indo Rama Renewables, a subsidiary of Indo Rama Synthetics (I) Ltd.
Under the agreement, Gamesa will supply 15 of its G97-2.0 MW wind turbines, which will be erected and commissioned at Jath in Maharashtra, India. The project will be completed by the end of this year.
This contract comes just weeks after the announcement of Gamesa's 75 MW contract with another independent power producer, ReNew Power, for wind power in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Projects in India constituted 14% of Gamesa's total sales in the first half of this year.
