Gamesa To Provide 50 MW For Indian Wind Project

Gamesa has secured a new contract in India to supply 50 MW to independent power producer Green Infra.

The contract calls for the wind farm development, as well as the supply, installation and commissioning of 25 G97-2.0 MW wind turbines in a wind project being developed in Kosegaon, in the State of Maharashtra. The facility is expected to be finished by mid-2014. Gamesa will also maintain the facility's services for 10 years.

Gamesa notes that it has installed over 900 MW and manages capacity of more than 800 MW under operations and maintenance agreements in India. In its capacity as wind farm developer, Gamesa's pipeline in the country stands at 4.3 GW, and India represented 18% of the company's sales in the third quarter of 2013.
