Gamesa has entered a 49.3 MW supply contract with Chinese company CGN Wind Energy for the Chengdingsha wind farm, being built in Shandong province.
The scope of the agreement calls for the installation and commissioning of 25 G97-2.0 MW class III wind turbines, which Gamesa says it designed specifically for low-wind sites. The delivery is scheduled for July, and the wind farm is expected to be finished by year-end.
This new contract reinforces the commercial relationship between Gamesa and CGN Wind Energy (formerly Guangdong Nuclear) dating back to 2009. Since then, Gamesa says the two parties have signed contracts accounting for 106 MW.
