Gamesa has been awarded a contract for the supply of 37 G114-2.1 MW turbines for a wind project at a complex in the state of New York.
Under the terms of the contract signed, Gamesa will transport, install and commission the turbines, totaling 78 MW. The towers are slated to be both delivered and commissioned next year.
According to Gamesa, the G114-2.1 MW wind turbines are optimized for sites for low and medium wind speeds.
The Spanish manufacturer notes that it has installed over 4.15 GW of wind energy in the U.S. alone.
