Gamesa says it has secured contracts to provide operations and maintenance (O&M) services at 80 Iberdrola-owned wind farms in Spain and Portugal, and three wind farms in Hungary.
Under the first agreement, Gamesa will perform the O&M services on 1,143 of its 2 MW turbines for three years, with an option to extend the deal for another two years.
In addition, Iberdrola awarded Gamesa a contract to manage the O&M services at three Iberdrola wind farms in Hungary. Under the terms of the agreement, Gamesa will maintain 54 Gamesa 2 MW turbines for three years, with an option to extend the deal for another two years.
Gamesa currently manages maintenance on 6 GW of Iberdrola-owned wind turbines worldwide.
