Final Cape Wind Public Hearings Scheduled

The last three public hearings for the Cape Wind offshore wind project have been scheduled.

The hearings will focus on NSTAR's contract to purchase 27.5% of Cape Wind's power. In 2010, the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities approved National Grid's contract to purchase 50% of Cape Wind's power.

The hearings will be held in the following locations:

  • Natick Town Hall, 13 East Central St., Natick, Mass., on May 22 at 7:00 p.m.;
  • Barnstable High School, Barnstable, Mass., 744 West Main St., Hyannis, Mass., on May 23 at 7:00 p.m.; and
  • The Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities, 1 South Station, Boston, Mass., on May 30 at 7 p.m.
