enXco’s 106 MW Hoosier Wind Project Achieves Commercial Operation

Escondido, Calif.-based enXco, a subsidiary of EDF Energies Nouvelles, says its 106 MW Hoosier Wind project is commercially operational.

Indianapolis Power & Light Co. (IPL) will purchase the power through a 20-year power purchase agreement, which was signed in April 2008. enXco's total gross installed wind energy capacity is 965.4 MW.

The project, located in Benton County, Ind., consists of 53 REpower turbines. enXco Service Corp. will provide operations and maintenance services.
