enXco Service Canada Inc. says it has signed an agreement with Cartier Wind Energy Inc. to provide remote monitoring services for the 109.5 MW Baie-des-Sables Wind Farm, located in Baie-des-Sables, Quebec.
The project, which consists of 73 GE 1.5 MW SLE wind turbines, was commissioned in November 2006 and generates clean energy for approximately 21,000 homes, according to enXco. enXco's operations control center will allow Cartier to have permanent monitoring of the Baie-des-Sables site, and to perform remote resets or dispatch Cartier's wind technicians as required.
enXco's operations control center provides remote monitoring services for 46 wind projects representing 2,798 wind turbines.
