Enel Green Power has signed long-term power purchase agreements in Mexico with automotive supplier Delphi Automotive PLC and bank Banamex for the 100 MW Dominica wind farm. The energy supply contracts are worth around $485 million.
The company, through subsidiary Dominica Energia Limpia, will begin building the wind farm in the coming months in the Mexican state of San Luis Potosi. Enel Green Power says its installed capacity in Mexico currently amounts to approximately 197 MW, of which 144 MW is from wind and 53 MW is from hydro.
