Enel Green Power (EGP) has brought online the 200 MW Goodwell wind farm, located in Texas County, Okla.
‘Oklahoma is one of the best places in the world for wind resources,’ says Francesco Venturini, CEO and general manager of EGP. ‘The Goodwell facility is the fifth wind farm that EGP has brought into operation since entering the Oklahoma market in 2012. The project underscores EGP's ongoing investment in the state and in the U.S. renewable energy market."
The Goodwell wind farm – which is owned by Enel Green Power North America Inc. (EGPNA) subsidiary Goodwell Wind Project LLC – represents a total investment of approximately $310 million. In July 2014, EGPNA signed a capital contribution agreement with a consortium led by J.P. Morgan, thus securing partial financing for the project.
The Goodwell wind farm is supported by a 20-year power purchase agreement.
