NRG Systems Inc., a Hinesburg, Vt.-based manufacturer of wind energy measurement systems for the global wind energy industry, has introduced a new satellite communications package bundle for its Symphonie data logger. The Symphonie Iridium Satellite iPack now includes 400 minutes for data transfer and a waiver of start up and monthly line fees in a prepaid package, lowering the cost of using satellite data transfer services.

"We have packaged the iPack Bundle to make getting started with data transfer via satellite an easy decision," says Greg Erdmann, NRG's sales manager.

The new package also comes with MichMail, a new service from Wireless Innovation. MichMail includes dedicated in-house servers that communicate directly with data loggers in the field via satellite rather than traveling through commercial Internet service providers to send data via email. According to the company, this set-up reduces call time during data transfer while providing more secure and reliable downloads via satellite.
