North American Windpower: REpower's 5 MW Turbines Are Being Tested In Germany

REpower Systems AG, a Germany-based wind turbine manufacturer, has begun operating two 5 MW offshore wind turbines at the DEWI Offshore and Certification Center GmbH test site in Cuxhaven, Germany. The company is testing the turbines for offshore use and plans to install at least six more in 2007.
