MidAmerican Energy, a Des Moines, Iowa-based utility provider, has completed its 99 MW Victory wind farm located in Carroll and Crawford counties, Iowa.

The company used 66 GE 1.5 MW turbines for the project, which has the ability to generate electricity for approximately 40,000 customers. With this new addition, MidAmerican now owns and operates a capacity of 459.5 MW of wind energy facilities in Iowa - making it the owner of more wind energy facilities than any other rate-regulated electric utility in the country, the company says.
