HTH PowerSHIFT Group Holdings Inc., a provider of alternative energy solutions to a variety of renewable energy businesses, has appointed Mark E. Vermeer to the position of vice president of operations in conjunction with the company's recent name change. HTH has also hired Corbin M. Settles as assistant project manager.

Vermeer has three decades of business and project management experience, with a particular focus on startup companies, as well as the development and management of turnkey bio-diesel projects. Prior to joining HTH, Vermeer worked as a project engineer for Renewable Energy Group where he was responsible for sales, project development, site evaluations and engineer-procure-construct services. He is also a registered professional engineer licensed in Iowa and several other states.

Settles' most recent management role involved the hospitality industry in Fairfield, Iowa. In 2004 he received his bachelor’s degree in business management from Buena Vista University and an associate degree in arts and sciences from Indian Hills Community College.
