Padoma Wind Power LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of NRG Energy Inc., has named Bernie Holst senior vice president of operations. He will be responsible for the company's overall wind farm operations, turbine evaluation and procurement, and serving as the interface between construction and operations.

Holst has been involved in the wind industry for more than 25 years. He has experience in wind turbine service and operations, construction and project financing, and project management and administration. Holst joins Padoma from San Diego-based Garrard Hassan America, where as president he performed due diligence for banks, assessed ongoing project operations and maintenance activities, and managed wind resource assessment activities in the U.S. He also previously worked for the Battelle Northwest Labs, Hawaii Natural Energy Institute and SeaWest WindPower LLC.
