SAB North America, a Fairfield, N.J.-based provider of specialty cables, has released a single conductor cable with different color code combinations for primary and secondary Jacket material for the solar cable industry.

The cable is manufactured to Class-5 construction according to the International Electrotechnical Commission's standard on conductors of insulated cables (IEC 60228) and VDE 0295 standard, the company says. In addition, it meets other technical requirements, such as the high temperature rating up to 125 degree C, it has a low-smoke density in case of fire, and the cable is UV resistant and hydrolysis resistant for protection against adverse weather.

SAB North America is also offering a line of wind power cables for pitch motor control, feedback and power. The company adds that they are well suited for various outdoor environments, as well as being RoHS compliant, which stands for "the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment."
