North American Windpower: Michels Appoints Miller To Lead Supplier Diversity Program

Michels Corp. - a provider of engineering, procurement and construction services to the energy, utility and transportation markets - has appointed Herb Miller to manage its Supplier Diversity Program.

Miller has more than 40 years of experience in the construction industry, including seven years at Michels. He will lead the company's efforts to maximize procurement opportunities with diverse businesses as suppliers, contractors and subcontractors, as well as further develop the company's Supplier Diversity Program, Michels explains.

The program has three key areas of focus: business development, supplier development and strategic outreach. Miller will lead a program to mentor qualified subcontractors and create targeted growth and development plans. This includes Michels-sponsored training and guidance. He will work with all of Michels’ operating divisions and subsidiaries as well as its procurement team, the company adds.
