DONG Energy has appointed two new executive vice presidents (EVPs): Samuel Leupold has been named EVP of the company's Wind Power business area, and Morten Hultberg Buchgreitz has been appointed EVP of the company's Energy Markets business unit.

Leupold will assume the position from Henrik Poulsen, who, since his appointment as CEO of DONG Energy, has also served as EVP of the company's Wind Power division. He joins DONG Energy from Switzerland-based energy company BKW FMB Energie, where he served as EVP. Leupold previously worked for Buhler, McKinsey and ABB Power Generation. He will assume the position on March 4, 2013.

DONG Energy also says it is making a change in the leadership of its Energy Markets division. DONG Energy's current Energy Markets EVP is leaving the company by mutual agreement and will be replaced by Morten Hultberg Buchgreitz, who currently serves as a senior vice president in the company's Group Treasury & Risk Management division.

Hultberg Buchgreitz has also been filling the role of acting EVP of wind power since March. He will assume his new post on March 4, 2013.

Carsten Krogsgaard Thomsen, group chief financial officer, will also be taking on the role of EVP of Energy Markets on a temporary basis from now until March 4.
