Cost For Tri-State’s Green Power Program Reduced

0

The Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association has announced that the cost associated with its 10-year-old voluntary green power program has been reduced. Tri-State's board authorized a change in the voluntary program pricing, reducing the premium charged for 100 kWh blocks from $1.25 to match current market conditions. Currently, 32 of Tri-State's 44 member co-ops have consumers participating in the voluntary program.

Tri-State's voluntary green power program, in place since 1998, will also continue to be offered for member-consumers who wish to further augment the development and use of renewable energy.

Tri-State supplies power to 18 member electric systems in Colorado, 12 in New Mexico, eight in Wyoming and six in Nebraska.
