A coalition of manufacturing, farm and business interests is endorsing its support for a four-year extension of the production tax credit (PTC).

In a letter to congressional leaders, more than 350 signatories – including the National Association of Manufacturers, the American Farm Bureau Federation, the Edison Electric Institute, the Western Governors' Association, and the United Steelworkers – are promoting wind energy as a clean, affordable electricity source and one vital to the country's security and economic development.

The letter supports H.R.3307, the American Renewable Energy Production Tax Credit Extension Act, which was recently introduced by Reps. Dave Reichert, R-Wash., and Earl Blumenauer, D-Ore.

H.R.3307 aims to grant a four-year extension to the existing PTC.
