Boralex Names New Exec For Legal Affairs

Pascal Hurtubise has been named vice president, chief legal officer and corporate secretary of Quebec-headquartered Boralex, a developer, builder and operator of renewable energy facilities in Canada, France and the U.S.

In his new role, Hurtubise will be in charge of all legal affairs of Boralex, which touts itself as France’s largest independent producer of onshore wind. He is replacing Sylvain Aird, who has been appointed vice president, Europe business development.

Hurtubise holds a bachelor of laws from the Université de Montréal and has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 2003. He joined Boralex’s legal team in 2005 after beginning his career at law firm Stikeman Elliott LLP.


In 2012, he became Boralex’s director of legal affairs, for which he managed a part of the legal team and led numerous acquisition and financing transactions in North America.
