The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), which leads research, development and demonstration of technical and operational solutions in electricity generation, delivery and use, has announced leadership changes.
Rosa Yang has been named vice president of innovation. Yang has been with EPRI since 1987, and most recently led the materials and chemistry research area of the EPRI's nuclear power programs. Yang will work to identify emerging technologies and research areas that have significant impact on the electricity industry.
Clark Gellings has been named vice president of technology. Gellings has 25 years of experience, most recently as the vice president of innovation for EPRI. Gellings will focus on expanding EPRI's energy efficiency and renewable energy programs. These appointments will be effective Jan. 1, 2008.
Dennis Murphy has been named vice president of marketing. Murphy has more than 20 years of experience in corporate communications, marketing and public relations, with his most recent experience being vice president of internal communications for Home Depot. Murphy started at EPRI Nov. 1, and oversees marketing, communications, customer service, public relations and strategy.
Additionally, EPRI's power delivery and markets research sector has been renamed power delivery and utilization to reflect the focus on electricity utilization and efficiency that has become a central part of the sector.
