White & Case LLP, a law firm specializing in energy law, has announced the succession of Donna M. Attanasio to president of the Energy Bar Association (EBA). Having been selected last year as EBA president-elect, Attanasio will assume her position at the close of the association's annual meeting.

‘The rapid pace of change in energy markets and energy regulation creates an escalating demand for the high-quality educational programming and legal scholarship that the association provides,’ says Attanasio, partner in the energy, infrastructure and project finance practice in the firm's Washington, D.C., office. ‘Our new initiatives this year are focused on assuring our programs reflect the rich diversity of our membership – in ideas, regional interest and areas of practice – and refining our use of technology to make information more widely and readily available.’

Attanasio has held a number of positions with the EBA, including vice president, assistant treasurer and treasurer, and co-chair of EBA's programs and meetings committee. She has previously served, and will continue to serve, as a board member of EBA's affiliated organizations, Foundation of the Energy Law Journal, which publishes the Energy Law Journal, and the Charitable Foundation of the Energy Bar Association.
