Tehachapi, Calif.-based Airstreams Renewables Inc. (ARI), a renewable education and training company, has received final approval for complete development of its Green Corner facility from the Kern County board of supervisors. This will allow ARI to expand its training space by about 15,000 square feet.
‘Our new renewable energy technical training center will provide a comprehensive training experience for students on all levels,’ says Mike Messier, ARI's vice president of training. ‘Due to the fact that the training facility is located in California's wind corridor, our students will have access to operating wind turbines on location and on surrounding wind farms.’
Construction on the first of four facilities of the training center is scheduled to begin this fall.
