The American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE), a Washington, D.C.-based organization that works to bring all forms of renewable energy into the mainstream of America's economy and lifestyle, recently elected John Geesman and Dan Reicher co-chairs of the board of directors.
Geesman joined the California Energy Commission in 2002 and currently serves on its renewables and facilities siting committees and is also the associate member of its research and development committee.
Reicher is president of New Energy Capital, a Hanover, N.H.-headquartered company that invests in, owns and operates renewable energy and distributed generation projects. He is part of General Electric's ecomagination advisory board and is a member of the board of the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy.
In addition to Geesman and Reicher's appointments, the council has elected Sue Tierney, Mel Jones and Howard Learner to its board of directors.
